DURHAM, N.C. (AP) - Police in North Carolina have identified a man shot and killed in a confrontation with officers which stemmed from a domestic disturbance.

Durham police identified the victim on Monday as 30-year-old Ondrae Levado Hutchinson.

According to police, officers called to a home Saturday found a man and a woman involved in a physical altercation. Investigators said Hutchinson was uncooperative with officers, and it was during a struggle that one officer fired his weapon. Hutchinson was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.



The officers involved were identified by police as Officer R.E. Jimenez, Officer J.W. Lanier, Officer E.I. Masnik and Officer B.L. Mouzon. Each has been placed on paid administrative leave, which is standard after a shooting involving an officer.

Police didn’t release the races of the officers or the victim.
