DURHAM, N.C. (AP) - Authorities in North Carolina have identified a suspect in the weekend stabbing of a mall security officer.
Investigators with Durham police have identified the suspect as 35-year-old Natoyia Barbee of Durham, adding that she is still at large.
According to investigators, the security officer approached two women suspected of shoplifting and was stabbed in the lower stomach during a struggle outside a store at The Streets at Southpoint.
The security worker was taken to the hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries.
Police say the suspects fled the mall in a four-door sedan.
