Virginia guard Kyle Guy, one of the heroes of the Cavaliers’ run to the NCAA basketball championship this season, has declared for the NBA draft.

Guy follows teammates Ty Jerome and De’Andre Hunter, both of whom declared for the draft one day earlier.

Guy was named the Most Outstanding Player of the NCAA Final Four after averaging 19.5 points per game in the national semifinal and final. He drew a foul attempting a last-second 3-pointer in the semifinal against Auburn and made the three free throws that delivered Virginia the win.

A recent ESPN mock draft projected Guy would go undrafted, and under new rules Guy can still withdraw his name before the draft and return to Virginia, even though he will hire an agent.

Guy ranks first in Cavaliers program history in 3-point percentage (42.5%) and second in 3-pointers made (254).
