CARVER, Mass. (AP) - A Massachusetts driving instructor has pleaded not guilty to inappropriately touching three teenage girls.
Prosecutors say 75-year-old Francis Lane touched the girls while working as an instructor for Family Driving School in Carver.
Court records show the teens said Lane touched their leg and thigh areas during driving lessons. One teen said he placed his left arm across her chest in the front passenger seat.
Lane said outside of court Monday he is “flabbergasted by the whole thing.” His lawyer says Lane has no record.
He said in court records that he may touch a student “for safety reasons” during the lesson.
Lane was previously found not guilty in a similar case in 2016.
He is free on personal recognizance.
