PUEBLO, Colo. (AP) - Police are investigating after a body was found submerged along the Pueblo Riverwalk.

KKTV reports workers trying to refill a fountain that sits in the middle of the river dragged a hose across the water and pulled up the body Tuesday morning. Police Capt. Kenny Rider says it’s unclear how the man ended up in the water.

The body is believed to be that of a homeless man who frequents the area. Investigators do not think the body was in the water for more than a few days because officers and firefighters confirmed seeing the homeless man within the last week.

Foul play is not suspected.
