BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP) - Police say two more suspects have been arrested for their roles in the aftermath of a shoot-out not far from downtown Burlington, Vermont, that left one man dead and another wounded.
On Monday, Burlington police said that 54-year-old Angelina Pearson-Fitzpatrick of Burlington and 26-year-old Takesha Thomas, of Orlando, Florida, were arrested on charges of accessory after the fact for providing assistance to two suspects who were arrested in Connecticut.
Both women are due in court in Burlington on Tuesday. It’s not clear if they have attorneys.
Four other suspects have already been arrested.
On April 16, 23-year-old Benzel Hampton was shot and killed. Thirty-six-year-old James Felix, also of Florida, was hospitalized with gunshot wounds.
Police say they believe the shooting was over a drug debt.
