BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP) - A Florida woman charged with helping the suspects in a deadly shooting in Vermont’s largest city has pleaded not guilty.

WCAX-TV reports that 26-year-old Takesha Thomas was arraigned Tuesday in connection with the shooting death of 23-year-old Benzel Hampton in Burlington a week ago in what police say was a drug-related dispute.

Burlington police say they found the weapons - two handguns along with magazines and ammunition - in the woods that they believe were used in the shooting.

So far, six people have been arrested, including 36-year-old James Felix who was wounded in the shooting.

Police believe Thomas has bought guns that are later used by others in crimes.

It was not immediately known if the suspects are being represented by attorneys.
