GREAT FALLS, Mont. (AP) - A man found dead in a truck submerged in the Missouri River in western Montana has been identified as 58-year-old John S. MacArthur.
The Lewis and Clark Sheriff’s Office says MacArthur had a Cascade address but a Minnesota driver’s license was also found on him.
The Sheriff’s Office says the cause of death is still being determined.
The truck was found in the river near Craig by residents on Monday morning.
Investigators determined the truck had been driven between two houses and into the river sometime the previous night.
Besides the man inside, a dog also was found dead in the truck.
