SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. (AP) - A Wyoming man faces up to a year in jail when he’s sentenced in June for fatally hitting a pedestrian in a Scottsbluff crosswalk.
The Scottsbluff Star-Herald reports that 32-year-old Tyson Rein, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, pleaded no contest Tuesday to misdemeanor motor vehicle homicide in the December death of 63-year-old Kurt Blazek. Police say Blazek was crossing at a downtown Scottsbluff intersection in a crosswalk when he was hit by Rein’s vehicle. Blazek was taken to a Colorado hospital, where he died two days later.
Rein is scheduled to be sentenced on June 13.
