QUEEN CREEK, Ariz. (AP) - Maricopa County Sheriff’s investigators have detained two “persons of interest” in more than 120 incidents of criminal damage to vehicles in Queen Creek neighborhoods.
Sheriff’s officials say the two juveniles were detained Thursday morning, but no other details were immediately released.
MCSO first responded to a call of vandalism on April 19 and then began getting numerous reports of vehicle damage in the area.
They say the series of overnight vandalisms have been going on in several different Queen Creek neighborhoods.
It’s believed multiple suspects have used BB guns to shoot out car windows, smashed windows with unknown objects and kicked in car doors.
Despite the damage, sheriff’s officials say nothing has been stolen and there are no reports of any injuries.
There isn’t a known motive for the vandalism.
