LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - Authorities say a 42-year-old man was killed when he was struck by a car while walking on an interstate in Little Rock.

Arkansas State Police say Barret Seymour was struck Friday afternoon while walking east in the westbound lanes of traffic on Interstate 630 near MacArthur Park in downtown Little Rock.

According to a preliminary report, Seymour was taken to a Little Rock hospital and he later died from his injuries. The report did not indicate why Seymour was walking on the interstate.

According to state police, 134 people have died so far this year on Arkansas roads.
