PORT TOWNSEND, Wash. (AP) - A Port Townsend man has been charged with controlled substances homicide and nine other drug-related charges following the apparent overdose death of a locally-known musician.

The Peninsula Daily News reports 38-year-old Adam Michael Kelly was charged Wednesday in Jefferson County Superior Court.

He’s being held at the Jefferson County Jail in lieu of $500,000 bail.

Police say 43-year-old Jarrod Bramson was found unconscious in a vehicle at Jefferson Healthcare hospital March 27. Efforts to revive him were unsuccessful.

A probable cause statement says Bramson went to Kelly’s house that day and that some 30 minutes later, Kelly’s girlfriend told police Kelly called her downstairs to help revive Bramson using the overdose antidote Narcan.

The woman told police she and Kelly carried Bramson to his car and drove him to the hospital, where they left him.

It wasn’t known if Kelly had a lawyer.
