Officers fatally shoot man who had just killed a woman

BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. (AP) - Florida police officers say they fatally shot a man who had just killed a woman he had been arguing with.

Boynton Beach police spokeswoman Stephanie Slater said the man and woman were arguing Wednesday morning at an apartment complex south of West Palm Beach when he pulled a gun and fatally shot her as she tried to flee. She said that when officers arrived, the man was still firing so they opened fire, killing him.

The names of the man and woman and their relationship have not been released. The shootings are under investigation.
