OPELOUSAS, La. (AP) - The body of a missing Louisiana woman has been found in St. Landry Parish.

News outlets report Alana Vanol-Zuccaro, of Pineville, had been missing since March 20. Authorities say the woman’s boyfriend, Robert McPherson, gave investigators information that led to her body. It was in a wooded area off Highway 103 in Washington, Louisiana.

West Baton Rouge Parish sheriff’s deputies arrested McPherson on March 27 for an unrelated crime and, during that investigation, he provided information regarding Vanol-Zuccaro.

McPherson and the woman were seen leaving a casino at 1:38 a.m. March 20 and the couple appeared to be arguing. State police found her truck later that day on Highway 103 but no one was around. Two days later, the woman’s purse and other belongs were found next to a bayou.
