LONGVIEW, Wash. (AP) - A former Longview School Board member arrested in November on suspicion of possessing child pornography has indicated that he will plead guilty to his charges.
The Daily News reports prosecutors reached a plea agreement with Richard Lord Thursday and set a guilty plea hearing for May 2, according to court documents.
Lord is currently charged with possessing depictions of a minor engaged in sexually explicit conduct in the first and second degree, although the prosecutor’s office may amend those charges before his plea.
A teenage girl told Cowlitz County sheriff’s deputies that in November 2017, Lord took her to a state school board directors conference. Lord gave her alcohol and marijuana before touching her breasts, the girl said.
In February 2018, deputies found nude photographs of the girl saved on a micro SD card and an USB drive in one of Lord’s vehicles.
