SEATTLE (AP) - A federal felon with prior convictions for child molestation and child rape has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for accessing child pornography.

U.S. Attorney Brian Moran says Brian Rubenaker of Everett was sentenced Friday in federal court in Seattle. He’ll be supervised for 10 years following his release.

Rubenaker was convicted in 1998 on the molestation and sex abuse charges. In 2006, he was sentenced to nearly 13 years in prison for possession of child pornography.

He was released in 2016, but last year he was arrested again for having a laptop that contained child pornography.

Because he’s a repeat offender, he was subject to a 10-year mandatory minimum sentence.
