PORTLAND, Maine (AP) - It may be spring but parts of northern Maine are in for more snow.

The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm watch for late Sunday night through Monday in the northwestern part of the state.

The forecast say 6 to 10 inches (15 to 25 centimeters) of heavy wet snow is possible.

The storm could bring significant snow and some minor ice accumulations to other northern areas on Monday.

Southern Maine is expected to be hit with a mix of rain Sunday night into Monday morning that will change to all rain by Monday afternoon.
