BELOIT, Wis. (AP) - A man suspected of a February homicide in the Wisconsin city of Beloit has been arrested in Texas.

The La Salle County Sheriff’s Office in Texas says 38-year-old Jacob M. Davenport was booked into jail on Saturday after Beloit police filed a warrant for his arrest Friday.

The Beloit Daily News reports Davenport is the suspect in the shooting death of 28-year-old James Tomten. His body was found Feb. 9 in his SUV in Beloit. Authorities are seeking a first-degree intentional homicide charge against Davenport.
