ASHEVILLE, N.C. (AP) - The North Carolina Department of Transportation is targeting potholes on a stretch of Interstate 40 for repairs.
The agency says in a news release that work crews will be patching potholes on I-40 in Buncombe County this week. Workers will place hot asphalt in centerline potholes on the eastern side of Buncombe County before moving west of exit 55 and then toward Haywood County.
Repair work depends on the weather, which could impact the completion date.?
This scheduled maintenance requires lane closures near the patching operations, which may impact travel times along I-40 during off-peak hours of between 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
