WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (AP) - Local and state authorities are investigating a shooting outside a nightclub in a North Carolina city in which seven people were wounded.
The Winston-Salem Journal reports both Winston-Salem police and N.C. Alcohol Law Enforcement are looking into the shooting in the 500 block of North Cherry Street around 1:37 a.m. Sunday.
When officers arrived, they found six people outside the nightclub had been shot. All six victims were taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Police later learned a seventh victim came forward and was treated at a local hospital for a graze wound to their chest.
Police Lt. Gregory Dorn says investigators think there were at least two shooters in the incident, and that one of them fired from a car.
