CAMDEN, Ark. (AP) - Police in south Arkansas have arrested a man on suspicion of misleading investigators in their search for another man who’s suspected of killing a Camden woman and her 4-year-old son.

The Camden News reports Camden police arrested 22-year-old Montez Charles-Xavier Woods last week and charged him with hindering apprehension or prosecution.

Authorities are still searching for Jory Worthen in connection with the June deaths of 20-year-old Alyssa Cannon and her son Braydon Ponder. Court records show Cannon had been granted a protection order against Worthen in 2017.

In a press release, Camden police investigator Lt. LaRhonda Moore said Woods met with Worthen after the killings and later misled investigators.

Woods is being held on $100,000 bond at the Ouachita County jail.

Police believe Worthen is driving 2007 white Honda Accord.
