TORRINGTON, Wyo. (AP) - The Wyoming Department of Corrections says a 71-year-old inmate has died from long-term health issues.

The agency says Leland D. Brown died Thursday at the Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff, Nebraska.

Brown was an inmate at the Wyoming Medium Correctional Institution in Torrington where he was serving a life sentence for first-degree murder.



He was sentenced in September 1986 by Laramie County District Court Judge Edward L. Grant.
