Cowboys owner Jerry Jones kept it light over the weekend when asked about Ezekiel Elliott’s ongoing holdout — quipping “Zeke Who?”
Specifically, Jones’ response came in regard to a question asking if preseason standout and rookie running back Tony Pollard was Jones’ “best negotiator” in the Elliott negotiations.
Elliott’s camp, however, was not amused.
Per ESPN:
It drew a few laughs but neither @EzekielElliott nor agent Rocky Arceneaux found @Cowboys Jerry Jones’ quip “Zeke who?” as amusing. Arceneaux: “I didn’t think it was funny and neither did Zeke - we actually thought it was disrespectful.”

Elliott remains away from the Cowboys as he seeks a new contract with two years left on his rookie deal.
ESPN reported there’s “no real activity” on negotiations. Elliott reportedly told the Cowboys he is willing to miss the season if he does not have a new deal.
