WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (AP) - A Florida man has been sentenced to life in prison for providing the gun in a fatal robbery.
The Palm Beach Post reports that Jonathan Peden was sentenced Thursday after a jury found him guilty of first-degree murder.
West Palm Beach police say 34-year-old Holly Richardson was found dead in a car in October 2014. They say she had been attempting to buy drugs.
Peden was arrested on a trespassing charge the next year. He told police that he had provided the gun for a man who was planning to rob Richardson’s dealer but then robbed Richardson instead. Police say Richardson was shot during a fight over her purse.
No one else has been arrested in the case.
