BOULDER, Colo. (AP) - Authorities say a 44-year-old inmate at the Boulder County Jail died of an apparent suicide.
The Daily Camera reports a man being held in the maximum security part of the jail called for help Sunday afternoon after he noticed a neighboring inmate who appeared to have hanged himself.
First responders tried to revive the unconscious inmate for more than 30 minutes but were unsuccessful.
The Loveland man, whose name has not been released, had been in custody since July 10 and was being held on drug- and weapons-related charges. Jail officials say there were no indications that he was despondent or suicidal.
