MANCHESTER, N.H. (AP) - A man has been sentenced to 48 years in prison in New Hampshire on 53 charges, including assaults and nearly a dozen shootings.

Authorities said Brandon Griffin led a gang in Manchester known as the Squad and ran an elaborate criminal enterprise in the city.

WMUR-TV reports his attorney, Brian Lee, said Monday Lee maintained his innocence and planned an appeal.
