PHOENIX (AP) - Police in Phoenix have released the name of a man who apparently killed himself after barricading himself in his house.
They say 38-year-old Tyrell Gilder was found in the home Monday afternoon with what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police responded to a shots fired call and arrived to find a man who told police he came to pick up Gilder.
For an unknown reason, Gilder pointed a handgun at the other man, shot the tires on the man’s car and went back into his home.
Police say they tried to contact Gilder until gunshots were heard inside the house.
Officers entered the home and say they found Gilder unresponsive with a gunshot wound.
