PORTLAND, Maine (AP) - A de-icing truck bumped into an airplane on the tarmac at the Portland International Jetport on Wednesday, officials said.
No injuries were reported board Delta Air Lines Flight 4770 to LaGuardia Airport, but passengers had to return to the gate while the plane was checked out.
Multiple de-icing trucks were in use because of snow and ice.
The airport’s assistant manager, Zach Sundquist, said the plane was getting checked out by a maintenance team. The de-icing truck also was damaged.
Light snow fell along the coast of Maine overnight after the temperatures climbed to 58 degrees on Tuesday. By Wednesday, wintry conditions had returned with an anticipated high of about 32 degrees in Portland.
