PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Authorities in Philadelphia say a minivan being pursued by state police hit a parked vehicle, sending it into two teenage pedestrians, injuring both of them.

Police say state troopers started pursuing the silver Hyundai Entourage eastbound on Interstate 76 on Tuesday afternoon.

Police say the minivan hit a parked vehicle in north Philadelphia shortly before 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, causing that vehicle to hit the 12-year-old boy and 13-year-old girl, leaving both with leg injuries.

Both were taken to hospitals, where their conditions weren’t immediately available. Police say one person was arrested. It’s unclear why the vehicle was being pursued.
