CASPER, Wyo. (AP) - A former employee at a Casper re-entry facility has been given three years of probation for helping two inmates escape.

The Casper Star-Tribune reports Shayne Jones was sentenced Friday and could be sent to prison if she violates the terms of her probation.

The state Department of Corrections began investigating Jones after receiving a tip about her possible relationship with an inmate at the Casper Re-Entry Center. Jones, who was 19 at the time, drove two inmates to California the day after she spoke with investigators.

She was originally charged with two counts of sexual assault and two counts of aiding and abetting an escape. Jones struck a deal with prosecutors and pleaded guilty in October to the escape charges.
