NEW YORK (AP) - Authorities say a person has died and another is critically injured after several vehicles smashed into a previous two-car crash on the Cross Bronx Expressway.
WABC says the first collision occurred at around 1:20 a.m. on Monday.
The occupants got out of their cars to inspect the damage. Then the second pile-up occurred.
At least six people were taken to hospitals.
