PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Police say shots were fired at a transit station in south Philadelphia, but no injuries were reported.

Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority police say a man descended the steps at the Lombard-South station at about 11:30 a.m. Wednesday and fired two shots.

Police say surveillance video indicates that the man then fled and remains at large. No injuries were reported.

WPVI-TV reports that a woman told a cashier inside the station before the shooting that there was a man outside who either had a gun or had fired a gun. She then boarded a train and was being sought by investigators.

Trains bypassed the station in both directions for a short time. The station was reopened about an hour later.
