ARVILLA, N.D. (AP) - Grand Forks County sheriff’s officials say one person has been injured in a shooting involving deputies.
Authorities say two deputies stopped at a disabled vehicle on Highway 2 near Arvilla about 2 p.m. Sunday. The sheriff’s office says the male driver pulled out a gun as deputies were making contact and shots were fired.
The man was hit and taken to Altru Hospital in Grand Forks. He was the only person in the vehicle and has not yet been identified. The deputies were not injured.
The North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation is investigating.
