MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (AP) - A federal appellate court panel will hear cases at West Virginia University College of Law.
The university said in a news release that judges from the 4th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals will hear arguments in three cases at 9 a.m. Tuesday. The public may attend. Security screening and seating begin at 8 a.m. Photo ID is required. Electronic devices, bags and backpacks aren’t allowed in the courtroom.
The court will hear one civil case and two civil rights cases. One involves a police stop and search of African-American plaintiffs, another is about a college expulsion for sexual misconduct and the third is about jury instructions in an excessive force case.

The 4th Circuit is based in Richmond, Virginia, and hears cases from Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia and from federal administrative agencies.
