SOUTH CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) - Wildlife officials in West Virginia say a state record yellow perch has been caught on Summersville Lake.

The Division of Natural Resources says in a news release Clinton Mills of Ravenswood caught the 2.04-pound fish with live bait last February.

It broke the old mark of a 1.93-pound yellow perch caught on Summersville Lake in 2012.

The statement says Mills’ record fish was 14.5 inches in length.
