FARGO, N.D. (AP) - Two men have been sentenced to federal prison for their roles in the killing of a woman on the Spirit Lake Indian Reservation in northeastern North Dakota.
U.S. Attorney Christopher Myers says 21-year-old Daylin St. Pierre and 24-year-old Dakota Charboneau were sentenced Monday.
A federal judge sentenced St. Pierre to 27.5 years in prison. Charboneau was sentenced to 50 years in prison.

Last November, the two pleaded guilty in the August 2016 death of Karla Yellowbird.
Court documents show that Charboneau and another person planned to rob Yellowbird of her money and belongings and later recruited St. Pierre to do the robbery. St. Pierre shot and killed Yellowbird during the robbery.
