DECATUR, Ala. (AP) - Alabama authorities are searching for a 27-year-old inmate who escaped from a work release center.

The state corrections department says Dyron Rashad Primus escaped the North Alabama Community Based Facility/Community Work Center in Decatur early Monday morning.

Al.com reports that Primus was last seen wearing a state-issued white jacket and white pants. He’s serving a 15-year sentence for a first-degree possession of marijuana conviction in Morgan County. He was sentenced in May.
