MIAMI (AP) - Two Florida police officers are facing criminal charges after a handcuffed suspect was slapped in an incident that was captured on video.
The Miami Herald reported Tuesday that Miami-Dade Sgt. Manuel Regueiro is charged with misdemeanor battery during the March 2018 arrest of Bryan Crespo. Officer Alexander Gonzalez is with tampering with evidence and theft for attempting to damage a video surveillance system.
It wasn’t immediately clear Tuesday if either officer had an attorney.

Two other Miami-Dade officers are being investigated for their roles in the incident.
