LONG BRANCH, N.J. (AP) - A police pursuit in a central New Jersey community ended in a three-vehicle crash that left three officers injured.

Long Branch police say the pursuit began Monday night and involved officers in two cruisers. They were chasing a car with three people inside when the cruisers collided with another car that wasn’t part of the chase.

Two officers were treated at a hospital for undisclosed minor injuries and later released. The third officer was hospitalized overnight for observation but was expected to be released Tuesday.
