EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP, N.J. (AP) - Authorities say a fiery two-vehicle crash in southern New Jersey has left an adult and a child dead.

The accident in Egg Harbor Township occurred around 12:15 p.m. Tuesday.

Authorities say the two victims were in a southbound SUV that collided with a northbound car. The SUV overturned and caught fire, trapping the two victims inside.

The adult and child were pronounced dead at the scene. Their names and further details about them have not been released.

The car driver was treated at a hospital for injuries that are not considered life-threatening.



The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
