West Virginia Supreme Court clerk elected to national office

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) - West Virginia’s Supreme Court clerk has been elected to office in a national organization.

The court said Eydie Nash Gaiser is vice president of the National Conference of Appellate Court Clerks, putting her in line to become the organization’s president in two years.

The organization works to improve member skills, promote effective administration and provide a forum for exchange of ideas. Membership includes clerks of state Supreme Courts as well as clerks to federal and military appellate courts in the U.S., District of Columbia, territories and possessions of the U.S., and Native American tribes.

Gaiser has been clerk of the West Virginia Supreme Court since Nov. 1, 2017, and was previously the court’s deputy clerk.
