VALLEY CITY, N.D. (AP) - A man accused of trying to hire someone to kill his wife and one of his employees has been sentenced 12 years in prison by a Southeast District Court judge.
Alexander Lail was earlier found guilty of two counts of attempted murder. Prosecutors say the 50-year-old New Rockford man took steps to arrange the murder of his wife, Donna Lail, and Tyler Schnase, who worked at Central Plains Restoration, a business owned by Lail.
Authorities say Donna Lail and Schnase were providing law enforcement with information regarding possession of stolen property and use of methamphetamine.
