ORRINGTON, Maine (AP) - Officials have released the name of one of the two people who died in an early morning house fire in the Maine town of Orrington.

The fire marshal’s office says 55-year-old Shelly Lynn Murphy died in the fire early Saturday morning. Authorities have not released the name of the other victim, a middle-aged man whose relatives were being notified of his death.

Three other people - two men and a woman - escaped the fire that was reported around 2:30 a.m.

Officials say the fire appears to have started in a first-floor bedroom and spread quickly, destroying the home. The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.

The Maine Department of Public Safety says the three survivors suffered minor burns and smoke inhalation.
