SPARTANBURG, S.C. (AP) - A man has been arrested in the New Year’s Day shooting death of a man at a South Carolina apartment complex.
Spartanburg police said in a news release that 34-year-old Brandon Antawan Arledge of Spartanburg was arrested Thursday night and charged with murder.
Police say 39-year-old Belton Vindever Dandy of Spartanburg died Tuesday night after being shot several times.

Police Lt. Doug Harwell said after Arledge learned he was a person of interest Thursday, he went to the police station to talk to investigators. Harwell said witness statements and physical evidence were reviewed and the information was presented to the local prosecutor.,
Arledge also faces a weapons possession charge as well. It was not known if he has an attorney yet.
Harwell said he could not discuss a motive yet.
