FREEHOLD, N.J. (AP) - A New Jersey man who distributed child pornography online has been sentenced to six years in state prison.

Monmouth County prosecutor said Monday that Kevin Long will also have to register as a sex offender under the sentence imposed Friday. The 28-year-old Oceanport man had pleaded guilty in October to child endangerment.

Long was arrested last year after county detectives searched his home and seized various personal electronic devices. Authorities say Long used a peer-to-peer file-sharing program to distribute the pornographic material.
