PHOENIX (AP) - A fatal crash involving a pedestrian closed part of Interstate 10 in metro Phoenix during the Wednesday morning commute.
Officials said westbound Interstate 10 was closed between 91st and 99th avenues in west Phoenix, and the state Department of Public Safety said the closure was expected to last several hours.
Traffic was being diverted onto the frontage road before re-entering the freeway at 99th Avenue and the Loop 101 freeway.
No additional information about the crash was released immediately.
