TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - A Tucson man faces spending the rest of his life in prison after being sentenced on convictions for first-degree murder and other crimes in the killing of his girlfriend.
A Pima County Superior Court judge on Friday sentenced 45-year-old Mario Jesus Dorame to natural life in prison without the possibility of release in the killing of 52-year-old Maria Escobedo.
She was found her dead in his home with obvious signs of trauma on Oct. 1, 2017, and Dorame was arrested a month later.
Dorame was also convicted of unlawful imprisonment, abandonment and concealment of a dead body and tampering with physical evidence.
