LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) - Nebraska residents who identify as transgender now have a website where they can get state-specific information about their rights and available resources.
The American Civil Liberties Union of Nebraska on Monday launched a new website, transNebraska.org . It was funded in part by the Omaha Community Foundation.
The website includes information for Nebraska resident who are looking to change their legal name and revise the gender marker on legal documents. It also contains instructions on how to report discrimination related to gender identity, Nebraska-specific community resources and information on how to join activists who are working to advance the rights of transgender people.
