NEWARK, N.J. (AP) - Cold case investigators have charged a man with murder in the 2015 beating and strangulation death of another man in New Jersey’s largest city.

The count against 47-year-old Victor Taylor, of Irvington, was announced Thursday. He’s charged in the February 2015 death of Mark Holley, who was found lying in a pool of blood in his Newark apartment.

The murder charge stems from an investigation conducted by the North Jersey Cold Case Task Force, a tri-county unit formed earlier this year involving investigators from Bergen, Essex and Passaic counties.

Authorities didn’t provide details on what led them to bring the charge. They also didn’t disclose a possible motive for the attack.
