RED SPRINGS, N.C. (AP) - Police in North Carolina say an argument during a birthday party led to a fatal shooting.

The Robeson County Sheriff’s Office said Saturday that authorities responded at about 4:42 a.m. to a residence in Red Springs. When they arrived, they found a deceased man in the front yard.

While police were at the scene, authorities say two other men arrived at Southeastern Medical Center in separate vehicles with gunshot and other injuries.

Police say both victims were transported to an undisclosed hospital for treatment. One victim’s condition is listed as critical, and the other is listed as stable.

Police say witnesses told authorities there were at least 50 people at the party at the time of the shooting.
